Just to reiterate: The Oceanic Hug Works is not a marine life conservation initiative, and is in no way affiliated to any such entity. It does however recognize the importance of marine life conservation, and kindly directs you to reefrelief.org or saveourseas.org if you would like to contribute to some noble efforts to save the planet.
The logic behind the name is simple. ”Oceanic Hug Works” is an anagram of the full name of Eric Chang, the designer of this journal, and it makes as much sense as any other anagram might.
Our mission is likewise simple. We want to post stories we find in the news/hear about from friends and let you, the as-yet-nonexistent reader (whose nonexistence will hopefully be remedied in due course) in on how strange (“weird” as positive) and stupid (“weird” as negative) this world is, particularly so you can sound capable and “with it,” esp. in the presence of cocktails. Our editorial comments will be limited to <500 words (just over half of a Word document page), and your responses will dictate how the conversation proceeds.
The search begins today.
Hugs,
-The Admiral.
